Win Support for a Group Project "Women and Ocean"

Guidelines for participation in the contest for funding a group project:

Your project needs to address the UN theme and make a contribution towards recognising women's often invisible roles in fisheries and other professions linked to the ocean.

Possible form of your contribution

Project proposal of a duration of approximately 6 months from 8 June, World Oceans Day, to the end of 2019. The proposal should clearly state what issue is being addressed during the project, where and how. Expected results and awareness about potential difficulties along the way and ways to overcome them should be spelled out. Length of submission: max. 5 A4 pages. You might get ideas from this publication.

Who can participate?

Any team of at least three young people between 15 and 25 years of age.

Date of Award announcement is June 8, 2019, World Oceans Day

Awards:

There will be cash awards, diploma awards and larger public recognition through publication of winning submissions. An international jury will determine the most promising proposal. The decision of the jury is final.

Cash award: A total amount of 500 EUR will be available for the best proposal payable in two installments 300 EUR at the beginning, 200 EUR upon submission of a final illustrated report.

Diplomas: Every appropriate entry will be awarded with a MM Awards 2019 Diploma

Publication: The Digital Museum Mundus maris Awards 2019 will publish the results of the winning project entry online with the respective names, institution(s) (if appropriate) and country. Other strong contenders may be recommended for funding from other sources.

Consider the following before submitting

Entries must include a cover page indicating: (1) your names, indicating the team coordinator (2) ages as of 6 May 2019 (3) an authorisation of a parent or caretaker for minors with name, relationship, country (4) nationalities (5) e-mail of team members and coordinator (6) phone number of team coordinator (7) name of school(s) (if applicable) (8) the title of your project (9) language.

Entries missing any of the above information will not be considered.

Copyright of all materials produced to document the progress and result of the project and included in the final report remains with the authors. Mundus maris has the right to publish and of unresticted use.
